Based on a recommendation from Noel-Levitz, Reinhardt College added email marketing as part of their recruiting communications plan in 2005. Initially, the college tried a ‘do-it-yourself’ approach by selecting an email delivery tool. However, the effort of planning, creating, executing and analyzing campaigns overwhelmed the staff. Reinhardt sought an email marketing strategy that supported their goal of building relationships with prospective students, while shifting staff energy to more targeted, personal follow up.
Solution
DemandEngine worked with Reinhardt to develop an email marketing strategy that supported the institution’s enrollment marketing plan. Then, DemandEngine created, executed, and analyzed each email marketing campaign sent to prospective students. Admission staff were given web-based access to campaign results and provided with recommendation on targeted personalized follow up.
Result:
Today Reinhardt College admission counselors and student tele-counselors are cultivating stronger relationships by using email response tracking data. Staff members are able to narrow their focus on those prospective students expressing interest by their online behavior. Through sound enrollment management practices and carefully planned communication strategies using email, Reinhardt College is achieving their new student enrollment goals.
