In these uncertain economic times, Professional and Continuing Education (PCE) leaders need accurate and timely information to forecast enrollments, justify budgets, allocate resources, and make strategic decisions. Yet, gross revenues, course go/no-go decisions, or annual headcounts only tell the history of what has already happened. At the same time, marketers scramble to draw a straight line relationship from marketing inputs using fuzzy metrics such as brand awareness or 'reach.' What’s needed is a systematic and measurable approach that links marketing activity to how students make educational decisions and then provide leading indicators to improve forecasting.
