DemandEngine Announces New Adult Learner Marketing Research

Study to Focus on Communications, Online and Mobile Marketing Preferences of Adult Learners

(Savannah, GA – September 30, 2011) DemandEngine, a leading provider of higher education enrollment marketing consulting and online services, announces a new research study on the marketing preferences of adult learners. The study is being launched in partnership with 10 professional, graduate, and continuing education units across the country.

“This new research is an update to our 2009 study of adult learner communication preferences, specifically the interactive marketing channels adult learners prefer when they are considering a college or university, “ said Tim Copeland, DemandEngine’s CEO. “In the upcoming 2012 release, we’ve expanded our survey instrument to address the potential of mobile marketing, the use of mobile devices, as well as the types of information adult learners seek when evaluating colleges and universities. These are key topics that enrollment professionals must grapple with to understand where to focus limited marketing resources.”

Research partners include leading institutions such as:

Georgia Tech Distance Learning and Professional Education, Kansas State Division of Continuing Education, University of California-Riverside Extension, University of Denver University College, University of Minnesota College of Continuing Studies, University of North Carolina-Charlotte Continuing Education, University of Richmond Continuing Studies, University of Vermont Continuing Education, and Western Michigan University Extended University Programs.

The preliminary study results will be presented at the upcoming UPCEA Marketing Seminar, November 16 – 18, 2011. A full written report will be available in January 2012.
