DemandEngine to Present at 2011 Noel-Levitz National Conference on Student Recruitment, Marketing, and Retention

Press Release

DemandEngine Exec to Present at Noel-Levitz National Conference on Student Recruitment, Marketing, and Retention

Firm to Release New White Paper on Adult Learner Marketing Practices at the Conference

(Denver, CO – July 25, 2011) DemandEngine, a leading higher education marketing consulting and online services firm, announces CEO, Tim Copeland will present new research on adult learner marketing practices at the Noel-Levitz National Conference on Student Recruitment, Marketing, and Retention being held July 26-28, 2011 in Denver, Colorado.

In a presentation entitled “Essentials for Managing Adult Learner Inquiries,” Copeland, who has 14 years experience in managing traditional and adult learner enrollments, will share recent primary research results, communication examples, and best practices to increase adult learner marketing maturity.

“With a slight decline in high school graduates and population shifts within the U.S., many colleges and universities are interested in attracting adult learners into their programs,” explains Copeland. “In a primary research study, we looked at marketing practices for those institutions that already offer professional, graduate, and continuing education targeted to adults. In my presentation, we will examine current attitudes toward adult learner marketing, examine the survey results, and discuss essential practices for more mature marketing efforts that are measurable and that supports the student decision process.”

The Noel-Levitz National Conference on Student Recruitment, Marketing, and Retention is the country's largest annual gathering of senior higher education professionals interested in enrollment management. Billed as the most comprehensive conference on enrollment management, each year presenters share successful strategies, new technologies, and campus programs.

During the Noel-Levitz conference, DemandEngine will release the full research results in a white paper entitled “Adult Learner Marketing Needs a Makeover … Now!” Attendees can pick up a copy of the paper during the conference at the DemandEngine vendor booth.

In January 2011, 77 institutions participated in a DemandEngine online survey to discover current industry practices for identifying and engaging prospective adult learners. Using an inquiry management maturity model developed by DemandEngine, respondent institutions are ranked by their current inquiry management practices in four areas, including: 1) generation; 2) capture; 3) nurturing; and 4) monitoring.
