New adult learner–focused research to be shared in presentations and research reports

 

(Savannah, GA – March 26, 2012) - DemandEngine, a higher education consulting, marketing software, and e–marketing services company, today announced it will present at the upcoming University Professional and Continuing Education Association Annual Conference, to be held March 28 – 30, 2012, in Portland, Oregon.

During DemandEngine presentations, attendees will learn enrollment management fundamentals for attracting and retaining students as well as the latest research on the communication preferences and online behaviors of adult learners.

In a presentation titled Five Enrollment Management Fundamentals for Professional, Graduate, and Continuing Education Leaders, DemandEngine CEO Tim Copeland, and Stephanie Platteter, Executive Director of Marketing and College–Wide Enrollment Management at the University of Minnesota College of Continuing Education will present foundations for applying an enrollment management approach to manage adult–focused programs. Five Enrollment Management Fundamentals for Professional, Graduate, and Continuing Education Leaders will be presented on Wednesday, March 28, 2012, beginning at 3:30 PM PCT.

On Thursday, March 29, at 3:00 PM PCT, Jennifer Copeland, Vice President of DemandEngine, and Amy Routhier, Executive Director of Enrollment Management and Marketing for Extended University Programs at Western Michigan University will present Engaging Adult Learners: Research–Driven Integrated Marketing Planning. The co–presenters will share recent research on the communication preferences and online and mobile participation behavior of adult learners.

Conference attendees can also pick up a new research report titled Professional and Continuing Education Has a Measurement Problem. “With the increasingly public scrutiny of educational institutions, our research was focused on how deans and directors measure outreach performance,” said Tim Copeland, DemandEngine CEO. This report highlights the current measurement practices of professional and continuing education units and offers insight on implementing a performance–driven culture.
